Holy Week Bible Study: Join Vicar Pat for a Bible Study on "The Women at the Tomb." Who were the women who met Jesus at the tomb? What can we learn from their witness? This hour-and-a-half Bible Study will be a one-time study held on three dates/times to meet your schedule: Monday, April 17 at 6:30 a.m. - Tuesday, April 18 at noon - Wednesday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m. Please sign up on the narthex bulletin board for a time convenient for you.
Sunday School: The Sunday School is looking for a new director. You would be helping out our Sunday School by planning and directing the Sunday School program, recruiting and supporting the teachers, and assisting with the preparation of the budget. Our present director, Cathy Klimovitz, will be providing support and mentoring during this coming year. Please prayerfully consider this position as a way to serve the children of our congregation. Contact the Discovery [Christian Education] committee or the church office if interested.
Holy Spirit's Intern: Holy Spirit Congregation is nearing the end of its first year having an intern from the seminary. We have been blessed with Vicar Pat this past year in all she has done for our congregation. Yet she will be leaving us in just three short months at the end of June. More information will follow regarding our formal farewell and Godspeed event for her. Even as we say goodbye to Vicar Pat, we are delighted to announce that Holy Spirit is one of just 20 sites to be assigned a new intern for the coming year. Our new intern is Bryce Formwalt. Bryce lives in Westminster with his wife, Lisa, and will return to the Seminary for his senior year following the internship. Contact the church office to learn more about our new Vicar and about the farewell party plans for Vicar Pat.
Frederick Keys Firework Night - Join your friends from Holy Spirit for an evening of baseball and fireworks with the Frederick Keys on Friday, June 2, 2000 at Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick. Seating is limited as this year we have reserved box seats. All seats are $8.00 and everyone needs to purchase a seat. The gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the game begins at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are first come first served, so sign up on the narthex bulletin board today!
Mar-Lu-Ridge is a Christian Conference & Educational Center in Jefferson, MD. They offer overnight camp for kids (aged 6-16), for families (all ages) and adults (55+). Easter Breakfast - Please plan to join in Holy Spirit's traditional Easter Breakfast held continuously between 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. in the multipurpose room. Again this Easter, we're serving donuts, bagels, coffee, juice and a large helping of fellowship!
Easter Egg Hunt - Holy Spirit will be holding an Easter Egg Hunt for the children of the church on Saturday, April 22 at 1:00 p.m. Children should bring their own baskets for gathering eggs. Refreshments will be served after the hunt, which will be held rain or shine.
