This is a "preschool" program for three, four and five year olds to enjoy social, academic and cognitive growth in a Christian setting. The program is open to all members of the community, whether or not they belong to Holy Spirit Lutheran Church.
Welcome Pastor Krebs
The interim pastor at Holy Spirit is The Rev. Dr. Richard Krebs (also known as "Dick"). Pastor Krebs is a psychologist as well as a Lutheran pastor. He has written books about children - "How to Bring Up a Good Child", "It's Hard To Tell You How I Feel" - and he has been an acting director of a preschool. Perhaps more importantly, he is the father of four and the grandfather of six. He looks forward to helping your child come to know Jesus.

We are still accepting applications for the 2008-2009 school year. Many children who were not ready in August are ready to join preschool after the Christmas break. Each year the teachers comment on the amazing transformation they see when the students return. Somehow children seem to grow up over the holidays. Each January we get a few new students joining us. If you have just moved into the area or just feel that your child is now ready, we welcome you to come join our preschool. Please select the 2008-2009 application and/or brochure if you would like to start your child in preschool this year.

We had a fantastic year. We enjoyed lots of fun and learning both in the classroom and on some field trips. We were thrilled to host our Annual End of Year Carnival. Once again, we enjoyed ideal weather, a moonbounce, fingernail painting and temporary tattoo station, basketball station, Karate demonstrations and activities and a fishing booth. We added a magician (D's Magic) this year, he was a big hit and we hope to have him back next year. We had lunch, snacks and drinks available for everyone. Since we were fortunate to have so many generous parents and community merchants who donated all of the food and prizes we were able to hold this event at no cost. A silent auction for many area home party products and services was available for the bidding. We are so thrilled that we had another successful year. Thanks to everyone who made the year a memorable one.
The final end of year activities also included the School Wide family picnic at Freedom Park and the Pre-K and 4's graduation ceremony. Each cap and gown is also a keepsake with each graduate's name on it.
